Freebie Friday - Trace Worksheets

It's Friday the 13th, but instead of something awful happening I thought I'd give you a freebie to brighten your day!  Check it out.  I'd made a PDF some time ago of tracer worksheets (letters, numbers, words) for my Kindergartener to trace.  The great thing about these is that you can either print them out and they can use crayon, pencil or marker, OR you can laminate them and use them with a dry erase marker as we did.  I suggest if you laminate them to use a thicker paper when you print, print double sided, and then you have a two sided worksheet and get to save on paper and space.

The dot math pages are not included in the free home school printable but I wanted to show you that you could also make dry erase worksheets  by writing on paper with marker or pen and then proceed to laminate.  The possibilities are endless.  We use the Crayola Washable Dry Erase markers, which come off with a dry napkin or a wet cloth.  These don't leak through the lamination sheets to the paper like other dry erase markers seem to.

Here's the PDF with the worksheets inside.  If you want to re-distribute them, please do so via this post link instead of just sharing the PDF.

I've been asked a lot which laminator I use.  It's the Scotch brand laminator and lamination sheets.  You can pick them up fairly cheap at Amazon and also at Wal-Mart.  I got one at the start of the year figuring I'd need it for Kindergarten and ended up going through all 100 lamination sheets in under a week using them for different things.

How have you used your laminator in the past?  Do you have any other great home school resources or printables to share with us?  Let us know in a comment below, and don't forget to check out our Group Homeschool board on Pinterest!

  1. Thanks for the free pages! I have the same laminator, I couldn't pass it up for $20, and use these pouches that are a bit cheaper http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006VZAZS/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also use use sheet protectors like these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MZOHQC/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to "laminate" pages even faster and cheaper. They work great with dry erase crayons or markers too!
